Wednesday Evenings
IGNITE
Each week at IGNITE, students come together to CONNECT with one another, to HEAR a relevant and compelling message about following Jesus Christ, to GROW in their faith through experiences and conversation, to DISCOVER their giftedness for serving God and to HONOR God with their lives in worship and action. IGNITE meets each Wednesday evening during the school year from 6:30-8:00pm.

Heaven’Sound
Heaven’Sound is a student worship choir for students in Grades 6-8. It is an extension of IGNITE, and the worship ministry at Faith-Westwood. Students who are involved in IGNITE and wish to be a part of Heaven'Sound have the unique opportunity to regularly lead our congregation in song during Sunday morning worship services throughout the school year. Heaven’Sound meets each Wednesday evening during the school year from 5:30-6:15pm.

Sunday Mornings
Common Ground
Common Ground is our Sunday Morning Youth Gathering. It meets in the Youth Center at 9am at Faith-Westwood on Sunday Mornings. Students are encouraged to attend worship at either Faith-Westwood or Water's Edge with their families at 10:30am.
Special Events
Once a month we offer an evening of fun and hanging out together, a locki-in, party, or a weekend retreat. Each month the activity is something different but there is always food and there are always great people to meet and spend time with. Confirmation
Confirmation Preparation is the process by which students affirm their faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, grow to an understanding of what it means to be a Disciple of Jesus Christ, and commit themselves to lifelong discipleship as members of the Church body. At Faith-Westwood, we incorporate a great deal of our confirmation preparation directly into our Wednesday evening middle school program, IGNITE.
Students who wish to be Confirmed at Faith-Westwood are encouraged to enroll and participate in IGNITE beginning their 6th Grade Year (but can join at any time). In addition to their participation in IGNITE, students participate in additional teaching times, service projects, a retreat, and ministry experiences which will help prepare them to for membership here at Faith-Westwood United Methodist Church.
Eligible 8th Graders who have met the requirements for confirmation are confirmed and accepted as members of Faith-Westwood during worship on the last Sunday in April.
