Join the Journey
Have you ever journeyed down a river? Maybe in a raft or a canoe or an inner tube? Usually we take a trip like that with a group of friends, because it’s a lot more fun when we share the experience. The journey of faith is like that. When we learn and grow together, not only is it more fun, God surprises us and does some deep work in our souls.

The Church that Meets at Your House
Back in the first century, the believers in Jesus met regularly in homes to share a meal, be family to each other, and learn how to live this New Life. They learned the scriptures. They remembered what Jesus said and did. They read letters from the apostles. And still today all over the world, Christ-followers are gathering in homes–sometimes secretly and under threat of persecution–to be fed by God’s Word. This Sunday we’ll be looking at Romans 16:3-5 and Philemon 1:2.

Praying in the Groove
Nearly everyone prays. But sometimes do your prayers seem like just handing God a list, saying, “Take care of this for me, would you?” The same thing can happen in group prayers, where all we do is mention who’s about to have surgery. And we wonder if we’re missing out on so much of what prayer is meant to be. This Sunday we’re going to look at a pattern for group prayer that we can also take home and do on our own. If you want to read it ahead of time, check out Philippians 4:4-7.

The Sunday I Needed More than a Sermon
What’s the difference between a friend and a great friend? It’s knowing that you can truly be yourself around this person. The mask comes down, and the tummy no longer has to be held in. And when we dare to be ourselves with trustworthy people on the same journey of faith, that’s when God does some of His best work in our lives. To get a head start, read Romans 7:14-25.
