The Great Gamble
John 13:12-17
The stakes are high when it comes to life. What will you invest in? Solomon may have lived in Israel 3000 years ago, but it’s almost like he invented the American dream. He pursued and enjoyed every pleasure his heart desired. But in the end he found that it was meaningless, as empty as chasing the wind. Nearly a millennium later, Jesus came along spending himself for others. Touching lepers, washing his disciples’ feet, he modeled the role of a servant. Who’s example will you follow? Will you bet the next 24 hours of your life on it?

Just Jump
Romans 12:1-8
Do you remember the first time you jumped off a diving board? Once you jump, you can’t suddenly decide to slip into the water slowly and gradually. You’re going in all the way, all at once, and that’s what makes it so thrilling. Maybe that’s what keeps some of us from taking that leap.
Some of us remember the first big leap we made in serving as a way to follow Jesus. Others have yet to make their first leap. God has many diving boards to choose from, and it may take a while to find the right one, but the main thing is to let go of our hesitations and jump in.

Superheroes
Exodus 19:1-8
Seen any super-heroes lately? Maybe it was just a bird or a plane. Belonging to Jesus and being filled with the Holy Spirit causes a mutation to the soul, giving extraordinary powers to ordinary, weak people. There are many quiet super-heroes whose names will never be recorded in history, but they have become the hands and feet of God.
