Each month, FaithWorks Pantry provides a place to find encouragement, prayer, and a few groceries to bridge the gap to the end of the month.

2026 Thanksgiving Bag Giveaway

FaithWorks Pantry - south end of FaithWestwood United Methodist Church

This is an annual drive-thru event organized by FaithWestwood's FaithWorks Pantry where totes containing groceries for a Thanksgiving meal are distributed to members of the community experiencing food insecurity. Prayer is offered too.


  • Distribution begins at 8 am and continues on a first come, first served basis until all bags are shared.
  • Please wait in your car and follow directions from signage and volunteer parking attendants to form a drive-thru line.

Regular Pantry Dates & Times Each Month:

  • Wednesday prior to second Thursday - for seniors, by appointment, 12:30 - 3 pm. (for appointment, email info@faithwestwood.com)
  • Second Thursday - 5 - 7 pm; doors open at 5 pm
  • Fourth Saturday - 10 am - 12 pm; doors open at 10 am

Due to the holiday, the FaithWorks Pantry will be open the following dates/times in December:

  • Wednesday, December 9 - for seniors, by appointment, 12:30 - 3 pm (for appointment, email info@faithwestwood.com)
  • Thursday, December 10 - from 5 - 7 pm (doors open at 5 pm)
  • Saturday, December 19 - from 10 am - 12 pm (doors open at 10 am)

The entrance to FaithWorks Pantry is located on the south end of the FaithWestwood building at 4814 Oaks Lane, Omaha, NE, 68137.

What to Expect

At FaithWorks Pantry, the first thing to expect is a warm greeting from our team and a spirit of friendship and caring community.

Check-In

This is a quick process, and you do not need to bring anything with you.

  • No ID necessary.
  • Just give us your name.
  • Answer a simple yes/no question about your income.
  • Tell us the number of people in your household.

That's it.

When You Arrive

When you arrive, park along the south wall of the church and come into the gym to get registered. While you wait for your turn to visit the pantry, you're invited to sit at a table and enjoy a meal. 

Our FaithWorks Pantry are proud partners of Saving Grace Perishable Food Rescue, Omaha's only dedicated food rescue service.

Saving Grace addresses food inequity in our community by making it easy for local food vendors to share their excess perishable food with organizations like the FaithWorks Pantry.
